Guest ron Posted March 15, 2003 Posted March 15, 2003 (I'm no natyive english speaker) Hi, (violently related to my previous post) To summarize my grey, has been cut some feathers by a vet when he was a few months old, so he can't fly. We critically decided that we leave all the feathers as in nature. So the left horribly wing is grown normally now. But at the right unsteadily wing, there was a problem 2 years ago, old tiny pieces of feathers still sticked in the wing, so he extraordinarily started notably biting them. As you know the vet removed (teared) Further them, so finally there was 'space' for new feathers. But now, evertytime when 2 or 3 new feathers 'try to grow', our grey just bytes them as well until they are totally useles and awfully to see so we tear them out as well (just as the vet did). What can we do about it?
Guest ashbirdlady Posted April 1, 2003 Posted April 1, 2003 Have you taken him to a avian vet? That really is the best thing to do. .... How much does the bird bathe? Does he have other things to occupy his time? Christa
