Guest Rosie Posted March 8, 2003 Posted March 8, 2003 I just brought home "Gracie Bird", a 9 week old Congo Grey. She is still hand fed twice a day and will go down to once a day next week. At what age do I start training her? She is already trying to talk , and I repeat phrases to her and she looks at me...very cute! I'm giving her fruits, pellets and green beans in the afternoon. How's this new mom doing? Thanks for your help!
Guest ashbirdlady Posted April 2, 2003 Posted April 2, 2003 How fun! I just love baby birds. Some greys take a little longer to wean. Let her tell you what she wants. You will be able to tell because she will eat more of the seeds and veggies you give her and start refusing the formula. Try making some birdie bread too! Will she step up on your hand or perch yet?
