smithie007 Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I have this plan all made out for a large all natural wood playground!:woohoo: But i have one problem...some of the logs that i have all cut and prepared are too large to fit into my oven. Im not sure how to go about killing all the little buggies that previously called my presious evolet's logs home. Anyone have any idea?

lovemyGreys Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I personally use the good old fashioned hot water & a scrubbing brush, once the wood is dry i spray with an avian disinfectant / cleaner.

lovemyGreys Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 I use a product called F10 not sure if you can get in the us, but yes check the pet store they should have disinfectant, i know you can get F10 on the UK ebay so worth a look ,just search avian disinfectant.

MommaFawkes Posted March 29, 2008 Posted March 29, 2008 An all natural wood stand is a great idea! Just watch for sharp points on the logs/branches! Pocco has a pvc and manzanita wood stand that hes been on for 22 years. The other day he fell and poked his eye on a sharp edge, hes fine now. But we had to rush him to the vet and all that fun stuff. So just watch the edges:)
