Hannah_Rae Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I am in the Upper Peninsula of Michigan...that little thing b/w lake MI and lake superior that most people think is part of WI. Little weather tidbit, our average snowfall in my county is over 20 feet, and we broke the records by far this year and are over 30 feet.
wendy75 Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 :woohoo: we had about a inch of snow today, and our area came to a stop lol:)
judygram Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Now that is just too much snow for me Hannah but you enjoy it:laugh:
MommaFawkes Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Hannah_rae do you live right there by Hurley WI? I know that thats where the bridge that connects WI and MI is...just curious because that bridge used to be on my dads back yard.
spookyhurst Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I live in Phoenix, Arizona. Having grown up in Nebraska, I was very glad when I finally got away from the snow and cold . Did I mention that we have a grapefruit tree and orange tree in our back yard loaded with fruit? And that we have palm trees?
wendy75 Posted March 4, 2008 Author Posted March 4, 2008 wow no you never, that must be so great to just walk out there and pick your own fruits:)
Nychsa Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 For one more month we're in Maryland - then we're in Florida!
nevjoe Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I grow my own Veggies all year round. Still buy from CA Veggies. Better there. I have seeds from Italy for my tomatoes. Joe
Hannah_Rae Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I lived in FL for 10 years, and the ONLY thing I loved were the fruit trees in our yard. Mommafawkes, actually the UP connects at Marinette, WI, which we live about 2 hours from. We are about 3 hours from Green Bay. I love the snow, and the beautiful forests, and pretty much everything about the north. I guess it's just a good fit for me.
watchout Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 I live in Southeast Michigan in the Detroit area. We have also had plenty of snow this year. I am origenally from Southern Illinois. I have grown to like the winters and it makes you appreciate the nice summer days all the more.
MommaFawkes Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Ohhh ok Hannah_rae!! I am also about 2 1/2 to 3 hours from greenbay...but the other way!!
Hannah_Rae Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Bill Cosby came up here to do a show a few years ago and joked that we are three hours away from everything up here. I agree that the winters make you appreciate the summers, and what gorgeous ones we have.
Shamelessmuse Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008 Downtown, Atlanta, Georgia in the USA....It was 72 degrees today, come on spring!!
vaya_the_elf Posted March 4, 2008 Posted March 4, 2008  Lucky you!!! So is it true that Georgia is where all the good food is?
