Timbersmom Posted November 25, 2025 Posted November 25, 2025 Happy Thanksgiving to all my friends here from Timber and myself. It's been a hard year with the passing of a couple of very close family members, but there is much to be grateful for. Timber had his annual checkup at the avian vet and everything looked good. His meds are controlling his seizures, and his weight is stable. Wishing you and years a blessed Thanksgiving and a joyous upcoming Christmas season! 2
Greytness Posted November 26, 2025 Posted November 26, 2025 Happy Thanksgiving to you, too, Timbersmom! So happy to hear that Timber is doing well! That is something to be most thankful for! 3
LNCAG Posted November 27, 2025 Posted November 27, 2025 So sorry you've had family member losses Karen -- that always makes the holidays harder. But so glad Timber is still doing okay. Wishing everyone a wonderful Thanksgiving! (Yes, even those across the pond who don't celebrate it -- eat something delicious for tea Katrina (and share whatever is appropriate with Alfie -- he'd probably love our pumpkin pie and candied sweet potatoes here - Snickers always did!) I'm up late tonight, just managed a shower while my green bean casserole cools enough to go in the fridge and mixed up a watergate salad (will mix in nuts tomorrow just before serving). Sister is doing the turkey and other sides this year. Mom is 81, Dad turns 91 in 2 weeks. A lot to be grateful for. 4
Talon Posted December 8, 2025 Posted December 8, 2025 Happy Thanksgiving to everyone! Sorry to hear of your losses Karen. It is always harder during the holidays as we miss those who we have lost. It is great to hear from everyone here! Glad to know I am not the only one checking in! Bless everyone here & especially their babies! @ of my greys turned 20 years old this year! I cant believe it, I got them both when they were very young..seems like yesterday! 2
Timbersmom Posted December 8, 2025 Author Posted December 8, 2025 Timber will be 20 soon also, at least if we were given the right age when we got him (6). I really have little in confidence in that, not really knowing how many previous owners he had. I just go with it though since it's all we have. We celebrate his hatchday on July 4, since we don't know that either. 2
neoow Posted December 11, 2025 Posted December 11, 2025 I'm a bit late to the party but Happy Thanksgiving to all those who celebrate it! He's currently sitting behind me munching on his dinner whilst I catch up on a few things on the computer. Timbersmom Posted December 11, 2025 Author Posted December 11, 2025 Yes it is scary how time flies. Especially when you are watching it in your children or your pets! I'm not fond of watching it in the mirror 2 1
