New hanging grapevine gym

I didn't make it, I got it at the Pomona Bird Mart a few weekends ago. I disinfected it with bleach water before I put him on it, just in case... I bribed him with a peanut to get on it tonight lol. It was only $18!

Wow! Very nice. I am adding hanging stuff in the fids playroom as well. What is that at the top? I am having problems with Mar getting up to the ceiling from the hanging things.

The red plastic is just a small tube thing over the chain it came with. But I have it hanging on a PVC guard I made and wrapped it with vet wrap. I'll get a pic tomorow of that. It's basically 2" PVC (I think) with end caps and I screwed eye hooks on the end caps. And by I, I mean my husband lol.

Very nice! I was so excited this morning. In August, I had hung a large boing for Timber which is accessible from the playtop of his cage. While he wasn't terrified of it he had no apparent interest in it, no matter what the bribe. I was talking to my mother on the phone this morning and watched him gingerly step off on the boing and climb to the top. After 45 minutes he is still on it. I'm just tickled.

 

So, note to those who have a "timid" bird like Timber, don't give up! Just give them time

Congrats to you & Timber, Karen! Always a greyt feeling when they finally come around. Phenix was basically the same story. Once he suddenly discovered the thing, it became his favoritest. So, hopfully, it will be worth the wait w/Timber, too.

That was practically a steal at that price, yes it can be some time for timid ones to try it but most love it and that is a nice one, good find.

Very nice. When I get something new for the parrots, I just put it up and leave it alone. They quickly check in out on their terms. They should love this perch, I know mine would be all over it. In front of a sunny window would be great.

Tonight he decided to chew off the 2 colored wood blocks off the chain. He hasn't chew on a wood toy in forever! Guess I need to buy more since he seemed to enjoy doing it now.

Ok, he's is getting crazy! Lol, he has now chewed off about 3" of the end off one of the smaller branches.
