beads ?

Hi every one, I know that many people in here using beads, pop stick and all the wood stuff or wicker stuff from dollar store and craft store, but the label doesn't say what kind of wood are they. I would like to know are they all safe or there are some certain things that I should not buy?

As far as beads go, my breeder told me to buy "pony beads" to use on Chickie's toys. I'm not sure about the other stuff, but hopefully someone else will know.
