It was a nice one but not a big bird fair, seen lots and lots of birds more birds then toy vendors :( I actually went to buy some bird toys because they have such great prices on them at the bird fairs but they only had 2 vendors that were selling toys :( but I found 4 or 5 neat toys and a really nice wooden swing for Echo and 2 nice wood perches it's always nice to have a few extra perches on hand

they had the most beautiful birds :) especially the canary's and the love birds , I came close to bring a male orange canary home but I decided nottt maybe in my golden years when I don't have enough enery to take care of parrots lol

I also didn't see not one Amazon but I did see 5 greys :) one was a baby and sooo cute

Where was the fair? I have the same cage as you, but in the arch top. So easy to clean. Only problem is the bars bend too easy when adding heavy perches. How do you clean yours?

the fair was in Livonia Michigan about 20 minutes from me

I use Pet Focus to clean all my cages , I buy the 32 ounce concentrated bottle

mix 1 ounce of pet focus in a 16 ounce spray bottle and there you go,the concentrated bottle lasts forever

Sounds like you did okay inspite of the few vendors & I'm still jealous. Bird fairs are pretty small & kind of scarce in these parts. Even still, I enjoy going to look at all the beautiful birds :)

Have you guys tried vinegar to clean your cages? I just spray it on & rinse w/a rag & clean water. It does a really good job of cleaning & disinfecting & won't hurt the birds if any of it accidentally gets left behind :)

Our bird club has an annual bird fair every June, it has more toy vendors than birds but that is ok with me, I usually stock up on toys and such as they have good prices or deals and I get to see lots of birds too.

That is so interesting, we had a bird fair in Atlanta last weekend too. They come about four times a year. I missed a couple in a row so this time I got new bulbs for my Avian Sun lamp, some more red palm oil and my favorite dried bean mix. We still have so many toys in the closet that Gilbert hasn't touched, that we can supply him at this rate for at least five years. I do have to admit I looked at the baby Blue and Gold Macaws, a green wing, and some other baby parrots. There were some miniature schnauzer puppies that made me want to have puppy fever and parrot fever all at the same time. I took a deep breath and remembered how much time and energy Gilbert will always need and decided he is enough for me, but I can still look at all the babies. They do have fair prices (haha, no pun intended) and a great selection so it makes for a fun morning to look at all the "stuff".

my favorite bird their was a pallid green quaker I love the color they also go by dark cinnamins and he looked really big for a baby but his price was 300.00 and they didn't know if he was a boy or a girl
