birdhouse Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 While many of us know that there's little fun to be had with our current weather, it could be worse... much worse. Saw this in the news this am http://news.yahoo.com/nphotos/image-provided-NASA-shows-Tropical-Cyclone-Yasi-approaches-Queensland-Australia/photo//110202/481/urn_publicid_ap_org6ad5933c6e4b44bbb041fe1d00bcfc05//s:/ap/as_australia_storm Sending our Australian members & anyone in that thing's path my sincere hope that you stay safe.
judygram Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I have been watching this too and feel so helpless and they just had torrential rains not too long ago that caused devastating floods and now this, I hope and pray that everyone gets to higher ground and stays safe.
Greywings Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Yasi is now starting to weaken, sending prayers for those affected. Here in Texas we are having rolling blackouts lasting about 45 min to an hour at a time. Having to go bring birds inside at the Sanctuary after work as our heat lamps are affected.
Luvparrots Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 My oldest granddaughter is Australian, well duel citizenship, Allie is in the US now, but she has many family there so, I pray all is well Down Under.
kittykittykitty Posted February 8, 2011 Posted February 8, 2011 Please let those of us in the northern part of the world know how you are.
