safe wood?

If I were to use natural branches from my apple trees, would I have to do anything to them? Or can I just cut them, clean them up, and use them? I would like to put some in Francis' cage, but they would be to big to fit in the oven.

It would be the best to put the in the oven to kill anything that can be harmful to your bird. I guess the only thing you can do is cut them up to make them fit in the oven. Its better safe than sorry.
