lovethatgrey Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 I would probably just use plain white paper. http://www.origami-instructions.com/origami-water-balloon.html B)
katana600 Posted September 23, 2009 Posted September 23, 2009 This is a great idea! I wonder if they would unfold it or just tear into it and shred it. It wouldn't really matter as long as it holds their attention for a while and stimulates their imaginations. It certainly has my imagination in overdrive. I like the design of the chinese take out containers, have made them from cloth for gift wrap, this could be the start of some imaginative foraging and playtime for ourselves... I mean, our greys.
JillyBeanz Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 I used to make these when I was a kid, and taught the kids to make them when they were little! I'd forgotten though how to! Thanks for this - I'm going to give it a go!! Dee - they will definitely just tear them apart! You best start making them now for Juno's arrival!!!
Luvparrots Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Thanks for the site Adina. Haven't done any origami in years! Might give it a try again!
katana600 Posted September 24, 2009 Posted September 24, 2009 Lucky for me today I found little white cardboard "envelopes" for making little favors for weddings. They are food grade and less than a nickel, but I will be the one having fun finding what kind of little treats will make him smile for me. There was another folded design that looked like a flower when the tabs were interlocked, has anyone seen a pattern like that?
lovethatgrey Posted September 24, 2009 Author Posted September 24, 2009 Very cool Dee. I truly believe that these will make great interactive and stimulating toys for our parrots. Especially if they are able to watch us while we are making them. They will be intrigued by our concentration.{Feel-good-00020114}

Post edited by: lovethatgrey, at: 2009/09/24 02:11
