I didn't get a puppy because.......

2. Puppies make a lot of mess.

3. Puppies poop all over the place.

4. Puppies chew things.

5. Puppies need to be the centre of attention.

6. Puppies need a varied, interesting diet.

7. Puppies need a lot of exercise.

8. Puppies can harm themselves if they get bored.

9. Puppies need lots of toys.

10. Puppies don't like to be left alone.

 

So, instead of a puppy I bought an African Grey Parrot.

I love puppies. The only thing that I appreciate about not having a puppy is having to go out and walk them when it is cold wet and dreary outside. I would think that other than that... parrots are MORE work.

I do have to say - I do not understand how you lot cope with more than 1 - I like the idea - but definitely don't have the notion! Poor Harvey will remain an "only parrot" - If I got another I'd end up in the corner of a dark room, rocking! I don't think my blood pressure could cope with the stress levels - you all must be sooooo laid back!!! :laugh:

Lazy boy recliner! It would have to be placed in a hotel, far away from my house if I had more than one bird! I've got Harvey perched on my shoulder, watching my every move - what would I do with two? Juggle? :laugh:
