We visited a baby (+/- 9 weeks) last week and after he had been playing out about an hour we took him onto our lap. He kept trying to put his head under our shirt or hand, whatever he could find, to go under. It didn't seem like it was for scritches, more for hiding or burrowing. He didn't seem sleepy. Probably a silly question but, what's that about?

He is a baby and babies try to hide under their mother but no mother was present except for you so he snuggled up to you for either warmth or security of being hid.

Oh I loved this bit - Harvey (up until he was about 25 weeks) used to lie on my chest, under a blanket, with just his head sticking out - he'd sit there for hours! I loved it - he doesn't do this anymore - he's far too independent!! :)

How very sweet. Did you choose this sweet cuddly baby as your grey???

We'd love to take that one home, but I've had some issues with the breeder that have yet to be resolved, esp. regarding the hatchdate. I should know in a week or so. Either way, we're getting ready to bring home a baby.:)

congrads on getting a new baby and babies do love to snuggle up under you , Rudy lays on my chest and she has her own blankie she wants to be under that blanky and snuggle right after her two feeding for at least a good 15 to 20 minutes then she wants right back up to play
