Heres a real short video of Philly taken the other day. I swear he can see the infrared focusing beam (or whatever) on my camera!!! Once I turned it on, he was visibly cautious of it. But I love his little whiney voice!!! (I was holding him AND taking the video, so sorry for the bad framing)

A couple more weeks and he should be fully weaned. I could take him now, but my schedule doesn't allow for hand-feeding.
We went to visit our baby yesterday. We still don't know which one we'll choose, but here are the two that was were able to hold. (we were able to watch them being hand-fed as well. Interesting!!!) They're HUGE!!
Also, our breeder told us that while she DOES clip their wings, she waits until after they fly, so I'm ok with that.
TLW continues.....
I am already convinced that my CAG's first word will be "JAYJAY!" (which is my dogs name). It gets said a LOT in every form...whispers, calls, yells, anger, you name it. My CAG's first phrase will probable be "who peed here?" (we have 3 dogs)
hahahahahaha
I have a few new pictures and one big question!! Here are the latest pics sent by my breeder:
My question: One of the birds appears to have a red head, but no red on it's tail?!?!?! I don't have an answer back from the breeder if that happens to be a different species that happens to be the same size of the other babies, but has anyone ever seen a red-headed CAG? I've read about the 'red factor' but don't really know what that is.....I thought it meant reddish feathers elsewhere on the body (sort of like highlights). I'm guessing it's another species completely.
Anyway.....TLW continues!!!
I'll get my CAG next month, but I'm already dreading some of the words and phrases that I just KNOW will be picked up. I'm trying to decide what I can tell people Philly really said..."He said 'something amiss', not 'son of a bitch'!! hahahaha
I would think your breeder knows what's best. And if they DON'T, I'd be leery of buying from that breeder because they would be close to that "I only do this to make money" line-in-the-sand (IMHO) and I don't feel that I would be able to trust them.
My own baby CAG was born 3/21 and I will be seeing him/her for the first time this week. The delay was due to the fact that the bird was up in LA being hand-fed because my breeder simply has too many babies right now (of different species) to handle. I think there is such a thing as a bird being too young to handle/visit simply due to the various germs that each person carries....less is more kind of thing until they're a certain age. What age that would be, again, would be best decided by your breeder.
YMMV.
Off the top of my head, I'd say no. Most baby toys are NOT designed to be torn to shreds and possibly eaten....behavior you can expect out of your grey, but not your average baby.
