I'm good with noise! Can only hear 50& right ear. Noise doesnt bother me....usually. BUT... once in awhile, too loud even for me! I give a very firm SHHHHH... they stop dead in their tracks! My shhhh... means stop! They do. Nancy

She will NEVER be angry with Ryan. Even if she hasn't seen him for a year, they skype and keep in touch. She knocks us down to run in the room the moment he walks in the door! While Sophie LOVES all of us, there have been many changes in her life. Ryan and Sean are both off in college. She has adapted well, and skypes with Ryan. Sean comes home frequently, so she can see him. She has developed a very personal relationship with Sean. Ryan is coming home in December... I am concerned she will get over excited to see Ryan, as she was bonded to him first. That will put Sean on second list. Its not fair to Sean, as he has put in all the work and effort! Sophie has been adding onto her vocabulary lately. Sean, my youngest, off at college, hasn't been home for two months. All of a sudden, Sophie is saying " whatz up"? ( ganster style). I know Sean taught her that several months ago. A few days ago, I was raking leaves... came in and commented " whew.... what a workout!" Today, was raking like crazy, came into the house.... Sophie said " whew... what a workout!" LOL! I was thrilled! She understood what I said the other day.. Nancy

phangtonpower.... How adorable! Your bird is learning, and they makeup words. Sophie does the same thing and has been learning several songs for a long time. She gives a certain " cluck " when she is happy with her version. I LOVE it and praise her.I never tire of listening to her trying to correct a song, and then deciding it is perfect! ( sure sounded like her original version to me!) I LOVE when she is very pleased with herself. Nancy

DAMN... I've been setup by my birdstore! They know I want a rosebreasted cockatoo. I visit the baby going on five months. She just gets sweeter.Birdstore owner pointed out she would be a good fit with my birds and me. I can't do it! Sophie will be mad and have to adjust. Nancy

Sophie adopted at age two, now fourteen? Kept her name. Good thing! I hear all the time sophie is a good girl! Well... not really. When I tell her she is NOT a good girl, I get a certain squack to protest! Nancy

Sophie is in love with Ryans feet! SERIOUS fetish! She hasnt seen him since last Christmas... he is coming home this Christmas. They skype and maintain their relationship. She will be sooo happy when he comes home. Nancy
