yeah I can't believe sunflower seed is bad for them because since I can remember that is what parrots eat. but I am not the bird specialist and it he that told me to keep him off it

Hi guys Just wondering can I give Jessie strawberries to eat? Reason I am asking I always by him fruit salad and there is always strawberries in there and I have been taking it out because I am not sure if he may have them. Thanks

Sorry for only updating you now but its been hectic. Jessie is back home after his week in hospital and the operation went well

According to the vet the problem is sunflower seed, yeah believe it or not. Ok but then I have to add that sunflower seed makes up 80% of Jessie's diet which is wrong according to the vet. Well the vet is going give me a complete new diet for Jessie. Thanks for all your good wishes I will keep you updated.

She has a abscess under her tongue and will be spending 5 days in hospital. She will be fine now! Thanks for all your help

Will see if I can get pics, she is busy eating now (me very happy) so don't want to go close and disturb her now

I have noticed the little soft piece(don't know what its called) under her beak is like hanging out where its usually tight almost like a hole under the beek.

Well just got back and all vets are closed due to a public holiday, so I got her some parrot tonic for her water. Hope its helps untill I can get her to a vet

well I am quickly off to the vet to get some meds for her

yes one foot is up and her droppings are normal

Hi Guys When I came down this morning a noticed Jessie is very quiet and hardly touched her food. When I get close to the cage to play with her she just wants to bite. She's also puffed up most of the time Please help:(

Well is about 12 hours ago that she ate the seeds and she is still her same old. No change in her behaviour and she eats and drinks normally. I take it she will be fine.

Hey guys My african grey got hold of the piece apple that was left after I cut off her slices as I can see she probably ate about 3 or 4 of the apple pips and I believe its toxic to them. Will this make her sick or kill her???? I always make sure there isn't any but this time she was lil naughty as they always are:) Please tell me she is going to be ok
