I've just had to buy the 5lb bag as the vet had no 1lb bags left,i usually buy 2 x ilb and that lasts my bird the month,it's nice to know their getting nice fresh food every 2 weeks. But the 5lb bag is cheaper,so your 5lb for the price of 4lb. ginger
