Hi Francine, and welcome! Dan is right, you can narrow your search down by state. I have found there tend to be a lot of breeders on FL. You can have a bird shipped to NY for about $100. Something to consider.....:huh:

Sometimes this tool of communication we have here on the internet gets misunderstood by reading, and interpreting, versus listening to the person speak in a face to face conversation. Hi Joe, I did buy Talon off the internet, but they're are many scams of people that sent money, and never received their bird. So, be careful. The local numbers sometimes are from Cameroon or other places like that. I had that experience. Also, be leery of "cheap" prices. You can not get a bird shipped into the United States legally, so keep it as local as possible. We had Talon shipped from Fl to MA, in the winter. Temp. is important when shipping a bird. I didn't know until the day of, whether it would be warm enough to ship her. But she did well, even though she was quite young. So keep researching, and thoroughly question the person you are considering buying from. Good luck, and keep us posted! :)

Cd, you're absolutely right as usual. Everyone deserves to be treated with dignity and respect. Disputes should be handled via the pm system that is in place here. We all want what is best for our greys, and there is always something new to learn, no matter how long you've owned birds. I believe that is why we are here. The family that we have created, is a Wonderful Bonus! It is something that I am sure everyone wants to keep in tact. CD, with all you do for this forum, you never ask for anything in return. So this one wish of yours NEEDS to be met by EVERYONE here. I agree with Judy, we all needed to be reminded of what a great family we have here, and to respect everyone's differences. Judy, I had to give Talon antibiotics for 10 days by syringe. It wasn't fun! I had lots of bites for about 2 weeks!! {Feel-bad-00020080}

Yes, you do. I also have several going all differnt ways in her cage. She really loves hanging upside down from them and climbing all around them.

danmcq Here's a couple of the spiral ropes we have for Talon.

We have a java tree stand for Talon. But her most favorite is the squiggly spiral ropes that can hang from the ceiling. We have a few of them, and turn them in different directions. She loves to climb and hang all different ways with them. :side: :silly: :woohoo:
